I do not consider the times of changes a curse as an ancient Chinese proverb says. These times provide a chance to unheard advances of human talent and of the countries these humans create. We have the chance to build the new country, friendly for its inhabitants, interesting for the world, open for friends and safeguarded against enemies. I know Ukraine will make a great use of this chance; the open question is when exactly? The systemic transformations should be implemented quickly; otherwise, reforms could take decades.

The Crimean civil society activists arrested by FSB in May 2014 were engaged in peaceful public activity and are not involved with the organization “Right Sector”. The Committee on Aid to the Crimean Political Prisoners made a statement that the accusations of FSB against Crimean activists are absurd and affront to common sense. They also consider that “the real reason for their arrest is Russia’s reaction to their participation in the campaigns against the annexation of Crimea as well as the wish to intimidate all Crimean residents who don’t support separatists having seized the power on the peninsula”.

The aggression was huge and the pressing was tremendous. And several times I started to pray and was ready to lose my life. Nevertheless everything which happened was like a performance as they did not went out of a border. It was their way to frighten us, to show their teeth and then to let us go in order to transmit this message to the society. And they are really sure that Kyiv is captured by some gangsters and they will not let the same in the Crimea.
